Email within Vision

Some users may find a problem using the email embedded within VISION. See Email for info on accessing staff and student email.

iPad mobile app

ipads running version 3.1.3 of Blackboard mobile learn are unable to open large Powerpoint or PDF files. This issue is being actively resolved by Blackboard.

A workaround is to choose "Open in Browser".

Known Browser issue  There is a known compatibility problem with the latest version of Internet Explorer 11 and Vision (Blackboard).  This causes the Internet Explorer Browser to close.

Blackboard know about this problem and are currently investigating.

Please use another Browser or an earlier version of Internet Explorer until this problem is resolved.

Delegated Grading Bug Issue: We have become aware of a bug in Learn’s Delegated Marking which affects the Reconcile Grades function, and prevents the automated return of grades and feedback. We are working with Blackboard to find a solution to this problem as a matter of urgency. However, in the meantime we would ask all users not to use Delegated Marking until the issue has been resolved.

If users already have open assignments using Delegated Grading, please contact Helpline with details of the course and assignment.

Online assessment access errors Some Students/Staff were unable to access Course tests/assessments in Vision, when clicking the link they were presented with a HTTP 404 error page.

 To resolve the error: -

  1. Delete your Browser history
  2. Delete cookies 
  3. Restart the browser

You should then be able to access the assessment once you log into Vision.

The Cause of the error - Server related - was identified and corrected and the issue is now resolved. Access to tests and assessments in vision is working as intended.
