Vision Service Interruption - downtime scheduled 7th October 2016

We have been requested by our Managed Hosting Company (Blackboard) to schedule 6 hours downtime to enable software updates to be applied to our Vision application.

This downtime has been scheduled to take place from  

22:30 BST Friday 07/10/2016 to 04:30 BST Saturday 08/10/2016

Please note that the Vision service will be unavailable during this time.

Internet access performance issues (updated 26th September)

We are continuing to experience performance problems relating to internet access, email and wifi services.

Information Services have been working with our support partners on this for the past few days and have implemented a number of recommended changes but these have not yet resolved the underlying issue. 

Other potential causes such as compromised machines on campus are also being investigated.

We are pressing our support partners for a resolution and will provide further information when it becomes available.

Discovery - issue resolved

RESOLVED - There are currently some performance issues with Discovery where the “Find in Library” tab is being mislabelled as “View Online”

IT Helpdesk/Kayako system update – 6th July

The Helpdesk system will be updated between 4 pm and 5 pm today (BST).  The upgrade will provide bug fixes and security updates.

Emails/tickets can still be sent to the helpdesk, but they will not be actioned until the upgrade is complete.  

If you have an urgent issue that needs addressed after 4 pm today, please phone or visit us in person.
