Essential maintenance: Turnitin

On Wednesday December 27th, the following services will be unavailable from 8am - 5pm PST/4pm – 1am (Dec. 28) GMT/2am (Dec. 28) – 10am (Dec. 28)  AEST.

Turnitin, TurnitinUK, iThenticate, WriteCheck and Integrations

Please be aware no submissions or grading will be possible through any of the services listed above during this time. We therefore advise that submission deadlines be set outside of this maintenance window.

Staff may experience issues using the and Virtual Mailing List Manager (VMLM) programme mailing lists. We are working to resolve this as soon as possible.

Westlaw is temporarily unavailable from Dubai campus, Orkney campus, and off-campus. We are working with Westlaw to resolve this problem and apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

WiFi - Wireless Firmware Upgrade - 28/10/2017 9:00am BST Edinburgh Campus

In order to keep our wireless services up to date, secure and working optimally, Information Services will perform a software upgrade to equipment on our wireless service. Therefore, wireless services such as Eduroam may be unavailable for a short period of time on Saturday morning 28th October 9:00 to 10:00.

This will affect mainly areas such as the James Watt Centre, Library, Lecture Theatres 1-4 and Learning Commons areas.

Please report any issues you may experience after the maintenance window to the Help Desk in the first instance

Resolved - EZProxy error

This is now resolved. Apologies for any inconvenience.

There is a problem accessing library resources via EZProxy, with an error message saying “your connection is not secure”.  It is currently being investigated.
